The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is making a comeback.
Announced on July 16, the show will be in Los Angeles this time, moving from its traditional New York venue.
“This year, we’re taking our show to Los Angeles, California, the birthplace of glamor, stardom, and iconography,” the brand shared on Instagram. They referred to LA as the “City of Angels.”
They also revealed that Gigi Hadid is the first confirmed model for the show.
“Come in, Angels, we’re going to LA!” Hadid joked in a video sharing the exciting news.
She first walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show back in 2015, wowing in both a sultry firefighter outfit and a stunning green butterfly-inspired look.
Looking back, she mentioned, “I think I tried two or three times before I got it. So, imagine how I felt when I got the show for the first time.” On Instagram, she reflected on key moments from the past year.
“I’m so happy for her. She wanted it so much… When you look back at photos from that time, the world was quite tough on her,” Hadid remarked. “I deserved to be there. It takes me back to that girl who first saw the show, and for my teenage self who was just watching.”
Before her debut, the model faced criticism about her walk, body shape, and the impact of nepotism on her career. (Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, is a star on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and her father, Mohamed Hadid, is a luxury real estate developer.)
In 2015, she acknowledged her differences, stating, “No, I don’t have the same body type as the other models. I’m not claiming to be the best. I know I need to improve.” Yet, she emphasized, “I’m a hard worker who believes in myself, and I was born at a time when the fashion industry was ready for change.”
“Yes, I have breasts, abs, butt, and thighs, but I’m not asking for special treatment,” she pointed out. “Your mean comments don’t make me want to change my body, and they definitely don’t change designers’ opinions of me.”
Since her initial appearance, Hadid returned for the shows in 2016, 2018, 2024, and 2025. Over the last decade, she’s graced the covers of numerous fashion magazines, collaborated with high-end brands like Chanel and Versace, and risen to become one of the top-paid models around.
The exact date for the 2026 show hasn’t been announced yet, but it has typically taken place in October in recent years.
