Giuffre Family Criticizes Maxwell Interview Transcript
Recently, the family of Virginia Giuffre, a notable accuser of Jeffrey Epstein, expressed strong disapproval regarding the transcript of a prison interview conducted by Associate Attorney Todd Blanche with Ghislaine Maxwell, a convicted sex trafficker.
They accused the Department of Justice of giving Maxwell a chance to “rewrite history.” In a statement, the family highlighted that the information in the transcripts contradicts Maxwell’s views on child sex trafficking. They asserted, “This tragedy of justice completely negates the safety, security and the experience of many brave survivors, including our sister.”
Giuffre had claimed that she was sex trafficked by Maxwell and Prince Andrew at the age of 17, an allegation that Prince Andrew has denied. In 2022, Giuffre reached an undisclosed financial settlement with him after filing a civil suit.
Tragically, Giuffre was involved in a car accident in Western Australia on March 24, which she referred to as “the only day she lives in.” She later died by suicide at her home in Neergabby on April 25.
The family remarked on the troubling nature of the interview conducted by Deputy Attorney General Blanche. They stated, “This bizarre interview… will provide a platform for rewriting history,” criticizing the DOJ for granting Maxwell such an opportunity.
After her meeting with Blanche, Maxwell was transferred from a high-security prison in Florida to a lower-security facility in Texas. The family condemned this move, claiming that it sends a concerning message about how child sex trafficking is treated by authorities.
Currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, Maxwell had a two-day interview with Blanche, during which she denied witnessing any trafficking or other sexual activities involving minors, though she acknowledged Epstein’s potential involvement in such actions.
Maxwell offered vague remarks on Epstein’s actions, saying, “I believe Epstein did not do everything, but some of the things he’s been blamed for,” while distancing herself from any form of protection for him.
