New DSA Platform Launched

The Democratic Socialists of America have unveiled their latest platform, “Workers Have More Rights.” It’s an ambitious initiative that, I suppose, raises the question: who, exactly, are the workers? Co-founder of Blaze Media, Glenn Beck, brought up this point, mentioning a conversation he had with Mamdani, who also seemed unclear on the definition of ‘workers.’

This new platform proposes to “abolish the United States Senate” and create a system where the President and Supreme Court would be chosen by Congress and remain subordinate to them. To which Glenn reacted, “So you just want to abolish the United States.”

Furthermore, the group aims to “nationalize the largest corporations,” which Beck quickly branded as a communist move. He elaborated, suggesting that the platform would also eliminate ICE, grant amnesty to all immigrants, and effectively defund the War Department while rewriting the Constitution. “That’s interesting,” he acknowledged.

However, he quoted a demand stating that “a complete victory will require building a new society from scratch.” This, he pointed out, mirrors a structure similar to that of the Soviet Union or contemporary China. It’s concerning how such ideas have succeeded in the past, yet often, the left falters here, associating communism with chaos and violence.

Leftist personalities like Hasan Piker have even gone as far as to draw inspiration from Mao Zedong. During a recent National College Democratic Party Summer Conference, Piker remarked on moving away from “Trumpism” but also criticized Democrats who he feels compromise too much.

Glenn Beck, reflecting on this, stated that these sentiments seem to foster hatred and are dangerous. He pointedly questioned, “You’re praising Chairman Mao while pushing for a constitutional overhaul?”
