Anti-ICE Activist Arrested During Protest
Recently, William Kelly, an activist known as “Dawalk Farmer” on social media, was taken into custody by the FBI. He faces charges, including obstruction and conspiracy to interfere with rights, stemming from a protest that took place at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, on January 18.
Following the event, Kelly shared a heated video on social media, urging Attorney General Pam Bondi to arrest him. In the video, he expressed frustration over the actions of ICE officials and the treatment of Somali immigrants, using strong language to convey his feelings. Clad in a “f*** Trump” beanie, he criticized both the church pastor and local ICE leaders.
“How can Somalis, legally in this country, face discrimination and not even have the freedom to pray at their mosque?” he exclaimed, echoing his disdain for what he termed as oppressive forces.
Bondi’s response to Kelly’s video was surprisingly light-hearted: “Okay,” she remarked shortly before Kelly’s arrest just days later.
Glenn Beck, upon viewing Kelly’s remarks, voiced his disbelief. “Hey, farmer, let’s talk about the policies you support. How have farmers fared in communism?” he questioned, highlighting the harsh realities faced by farmers under oppressive regimes.
During an episode of “The Glenn Beck Program,” he made pointed remarks about the implications of such policies, suggesting that Kelly’s views could lead to dire consequences for farmers like him.
Beck further challenged Kelly to provide a list of Somali individuals who had suffered injustices at the hands of ICE, indicating skepticism about the existence of such victims. “If there were victims, wouldn’t it be all over the news?” he asked, emphasizing the lack of evidence backing claims made by activists.
He mentioned that, in fact, only two Somali Americans were arrested by ICE in the Trump administration’s first year, one of whom was released shortly after.
Beck expressed his belief that many claims of victimhood are exaggerated or unfounded, pointing to the case of Renee Goode, a protester who had died during an incident involving ICE. He remarked that focusing on such cases suggests that there may not be as many real victims as activists claim.
“They have nothing,” he concluded, before inviting viewers to watch more of his critique on the issue.
