Tractor Supply Co. is a Tennessee-based agricultural supplies retailer that’s going where no other large modern corporation has gone before.
The company will roll back previously self-imposed diversity, equity and inclusion goals, eliminate the role of DEI, roll back carbon emissions targets, and stop sending data to the Human Rights Campaign.
Tractor Supply’s move comes as its stock price plummets after word spread that the company was heavily involved in DEI and ESG efforts.
“Every day, we work hard to align with our mission and values and represent the values of the communities and customers we serve,” the company said in a statement. “We have heard from customers that we have let them down, and we take this feedback seriously.”
The backlash began after conservative advocate Robbie Starbuck highlighted the company’s actions regarding X, including its DEI hiring practices, its Pride Month decor in the company, its climate change activism, and “funding gender transition.”
“He devastated them.” Glenn Beck “We used everything they had to dismantle them.”
Stu Bruguiere I was impressed with the company’s response.
“That’s very unusual,” Bergere told Glenn. “Even Bud Light seems to have overtly reversed course, you know? You look at what they did. They never said, ‘And, you know, we’re completely off the bandwagon.’ They just did it and hoped you’d notice.”
But Glenn remains skeptical.
“We want to see if this is just customer service or election advertising,” he said.
