The gold was inched to Rs 87,820 on March 10th at 10 gms, following President Donald Trump's tariff war, amid global cues and concerns about world trade.
The average price for 10 grams of 22 carat gold was 80,500 rupees. However, silver was slightly lower at 1kg of Rs 99,000.

The 24 carat is 100% pure gold with no traces of other metals, but the 22 carat variant has 91.67% yellow metal, with traces of alloy metals such as silver and copper.
