A Gold Star father who lost his son in the failed withdrawal from Afghanistan was arrested Thursday night after he interrupted the State of the Union address to demand that the president remember his late son.
“Steve Nikoy, father of LCpl. Kareem Nikoy, who was killed in Afghanistan during Biden’s disastrous withdrawal, has been arrested for heckling Biden during his State of the Union address,” Town Hall announced on X.
Nikoi said he heard someone yelling, “Marines!” When Biden talked about foreign policy.

Rep. Brian Mast (R-Florida) reportedly invited Mr. Nikoui as a guest.
“We are honored to have Steve Nikoi as our guest.” #SOTU. He is the father of LCpl. Kareem Nikoi, who became KIA after Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. [Biden] “He may try to change things in Afghanistan after his incompetence cost American lives, but that doesn’t work in my eyes,” Mast wrote to X.
News of the arrest sparked an outcry on social media.
