Google recently removed ads supporting former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign. When it was accused of shutting down the video multiple times on Friday, the tech giant reportedly dismissed it as an “error.”
If intentional, this deletion appears to have been a strategic mistake. After all, Google’s perceived censorship is drawing far more attention to ads than they would have had they been allowed to run without delay. Moreover, the firings have renewed concerns among conservatives that big tech companies will continue to influence the democratic process.

“That’s great,” said a Biden volunteer wearing a rainbow button, sitting in front of a cardboard cutout of Biden draped with a Mexican flag.
“Is that…?” the voter replies. “Everything is more expensive: food, gas, rent.”
“Okay, but Biden is helping newcomers to America from all over the world pay their rent,” a fictional volunteer says, reading from a script that warns people not to say “immigrant.”

The ad was scheduled to run from Wednesday to Friday last week, but Newsbusters
shown Google removed the ad due to a “policy violation.”
There was a huge backlash following the perceived censorship, and MAGA breathed new life into the ad across various social media platforms without investing any additional funds.
Some critics suggested that removing the ads amounted to election interference. Some highlight this as evidence of the continuing battle between big tech companies and conservatives.

I got it. The viral post says, “Google removed this Trump ad under the pretense that it violates their guidelines. Of course, the real reason is because it’s so effective. By sharing this widely, we’re teaching Google a lesson. Let’s give it!’
“This is unacceptable,” said Brent Bozell, director of the Media Research Center.
“Why did Google remove ads from President Trump’s super PAC in the first place? This is a continuation of the campaign against conservatives.”
Arange proposed that the PAC double down on Saturday and resume advertising on the Google platform. Later that day, the reported ads were reportedly re-enabled. Google said it “erroneously” flagged the ad, according to NewsBusters.
