Graham Platner: 'Benjamin Netanyahu Is an Escaped Criminal'

Maine Senate Candidate Calls Netanyahu an “International Fugitive”

Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner has labeled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an “international fugitive,” accusing him of war crimes and inhumane acts, though he offered no supporting evidence for these claims.

Platner made these remarks in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.

He asserted, “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is an international fugitive. He has been charged with war crimes for deliberately directing starvation and attacks on civilians as a means of war, as well as crimes against humanity including murder and persecution.” It seems pretty intense, doesn’t it?

His comments surfaced just days after an ex-girlfriend alleged he cheated on her fiancée and defended a controversial Nazi tattoo by saying it serves as a reminder that “America was the evil bad guy overseas.”

The ex-girlfriend, who asked not to be named, referenced messages she’d exchanged with her mother and a friend about the tattoo, stating she questioned Platner, saying, “As a leftist, I immediately looked at him and asked, ‘Is that Totenkopf?'” Platner reportedly shared the story behind the tattoo while expressing regret, claiming it symbolizes America’s negative presence abroad.

Last September, screenshots of discussions regarding this tattoo were shared by her. In one message, she warned, “You shouldn’t peek at the Nazi tattoo on his chest.”

A spokesperson for Platner’s campaign claimed he got the skull and crossbones tattoo from a wall in Croatia, meant to honor a friend from that region who was killed, and mentioned that Platner later covered it up and addressed numerous inquiries about it.

In a jab at Susan Collins, the spokesperson added, “Unlike her, he didn’t shy away from discussing his vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh or the impact on local hospitals.” Despite the accusations and drama, Platner’s ex insisted he was never violent towards her, which is certainly a different angle to consider.
