Graham urges Trump to focus on policy against Harris, warns ‘showman’ might not win

Senator Lindsey Graham, He said policy is key for Republicans to win the White House and urged former President Trump to focus on policies rather than opponents.

“Donald Trump, President Trump, can win this election,” Graham said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “His policies are good for America. If you have a policy debate on the presidential election, he’s going to win. Donald Trump, the provocateur and the showman, may not win this election.”

The response came after host Kristen Welker asked whether Trump should stop making personal comments about Harris’ race, intelligence and other characteristics.

“I expect President Trump to emerge in his final 80 days with clarity on what he’s going to do for our country to fix our broken border and get inflation under control,” Graham continued. “The numbers that Americans face under a Harris-Biden administration are a frightening 50% increase in gas prices, skyrocketing mortgage rates, soaring grocery costs. What I’m going to focus on is policy. Policy is the key to the White House.”

Republican senators offered similar advice two weeks ago on “Fox News Sunday.”

“So to President Trump, my issue with Kamala Harris is not where she’s from, it’s her judgment,” Graham said. “She’s been wrong on every point. When she tried to explain what we’re going to do about inflation and the coming recession, it was incoherent. It’s incoherent.”
