A Haitian immigrant whose former Massachusetts hotel now houses asylum seekers was charged last week with raping a 15-year-old girl in one of his rooms, prosecutors said.
Cory Alvarez, 26, is being held without bail on charges of aggravated rape of a child after being arrested by police in the Boston suburb of Rockland. Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office Said.

According to prosecutors, police were called to the former Comfort Inn Hotel on Hingham Street shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a sexual assault.

Alvarez was charged with raping the girl and pleaded not guilty at Thursday’s arraignment, but was ordered held without bail until his next appearance in court on March 22.
