Former President Donald Trump won the Republican primary in New Hampshire on Tuesday night.
As reported, new york timesTrump defeated former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley with 54.6% of the vote to 43.2%.
Despite her loss, Haley told her supporters she would not withdraw from the presidential race. CBNC I will report.
“What a great night it was,” she said in a speech shortly after the network reported Trump's victory.
Trump gave a victory speech in Nashua after winning Tuesday night.
Trump said of Haley: “Let's not let someone else steal her victory when she had a really bad night.” “She had a very bad night.”
Meanwhile, a Republican fundraiser shared that one donor who raised $100,000 for Haley said, “They're one.”
“It's over. As the night goes on, there will be more people,” continued the fundraiser, who chose to remain anonymous.
He also said he has heard from Haley's financiers who are also looking for an exit.
On the Democratic side, President Joe Biden won the party's New Hampshire primary as a write-in candidate because his name was not included on the ballot.
“It is clear that Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee,” Biden said in a statement released by his campaign.
“And what I want to say to this country is that there is no more at risk. Our democracy. Our individual freedoms — from the right to choose to the right to vote. Our economy. We are experiencing the strongest recovery in the world since COVID-19. Everything is at stake.”
Biden also called on Republicans and independents to support him in this November's general election.
“This was a historic demonstration of our commitment to our democratic process,” Biden said. “And to all independents and Republicans who share our nation's core values: democracy, individual freedom, and a commitment to an economy with equal rights for all, as Americans we I would like to invite you to join us.”
