Hamas Wants Pressure on Israel, Not Them

On Thursday’s broadcast of FOX News Channel’s “America Report,” Netanyahu spokesman Tal Heinrich said Netanyahu and President Joe Biden made “good decisions” and that the U.S. and Israel have no responsibility for civilian casualties. He said they agreed on the need and desire to eliminate Hamas while minimizing the risk of harm. Please release the hostages. “People need to understand that Hamas wants international pressure to be applied to Israel, not them,” he said of the Biden administration’s threat of policy changes if Israel does not change. There are no humanitarian measures.” There is no ceasefire that would suspend the fighting and leave Hamas in power with hostages in Gaza. That is unacceptable to us. ”

Co-host Sandra Smith played a video of Secretary of State Antony Blinken saying: A change in our own policy. ”

Mr. Smith then asked: “Here’s the message: How would you characterize this moment in war?”

Heinrich replied: “First, every moment in this war, including now, is a moment of moral clarity. This is another moment of moral clarity. People need to understand that they want to survive once again and stay in power. We hear a lot of talk about an immediate cessation of humanitarian fighting, a so-called ceasefire. It is important to understand that there will be no cessation or ceasefire and that Hamas will not remain in power with hostages left in Gaza. That is unacceptable to us.”

Heinrich also said the United States needs to explain what the policy change means.
