Bradley Whitford, the Hollywood actor famous for his roles in The West Wing and Handmaid’s Tale, recently reacted to the tragic news of a Minnesota representative and her husband being murdered in their home. Additionally, state senators and their wives were reportedly attacked and shot multiple times. The suspected shooter, Vance Luther Bolter, had been appointed to the Workforce Development Committee by Governor Waltz in 2019. Interestingly, Minnesota police found an anti-Trump flyer in his vehicle after he fled the scene on foot.
Whitford expressed his outrage, stating, “Trump is a lawless traitor. His 1/6 pardon set the stage for this deadly attack on elected officials.” He referred to the former president as a “malignant narcissist” and urged for peaceful resistance against such violence, adding, “Despair is a luxury our children can’t afford.”
Minnesota law enforcement confirmed that an anti-Trump flyer reading “There’s no King” was discovered in Bolter’s car, coinciding with a nationwide protest against Donald Trump that took place on June 14.
In the days following the incident, Whitford has been active on social media, posting images and videos from various protests addressing this matter.
Whitford’s anger towards Trump has been a growing sentiment since his presidency. Reports indicate that during an interview in April, he voiced his frustrations vehemently, particularly regarding comments made by Jeff Bezos and others.
