“It’s hard to find someone in the history of our country who is more qualified to be president than Vice President Kamala Harris,” Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said Wednesday on ABC’s “The View.”
Co-host Sunny Hostin added, “Republicans are in full attack mode against the vice president. Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett called her a DEI recruit. On Monday, J.D. Vance claimed Kamala isn’t grateful for this country, which is peddling a racist trope right there. Black people should be grateful to be here. He’s even previously called her one of those childless catwomen who are miserable in life and have no direct stake in America because they’re not mothers. How far do you think they’ll go? Clearly, the bar is already pretty low.”
Schiff said, “Oh, we’ve only just scratched the surface of how bad they’re going to get. J.D. Vance’s comments are disgraceful and totally stupid. Attacking the vice president as unfit to be president, somehow, she’s the vice president of the United States. She’s a former senator from the largest state in the Union, a former attorney general and a former prosecutor from the largest state in the Union. It’s hard to find anyone in history more qualified to be president than her. That’s why Republicans make these attacks when their candidate is a business con man, a sex offender, someone who defrauded his own charities, a convicted felon, a reality TV star — I’d pick Kamala Harris’s background any day.”
