Harris concedes presidential race, sends message to campaign staff

Vice President Kamala Harris made a concession to the campaign by communicating with former President Donald Trump and saying in a letter to campaign staff that “the work to protect America from President Trump's influence begins now.”

In a letter obtained by Fox News, Harris said she called Trump “to ensure a peaceful transfer of power, unlike in 2020.”

The letter goes on to say, “I have no words to express my gratitude to everyone who received this email. You left it all on the ground. You basically completed a first-rate, historic presidential election in 90 days. You built a movement. You overcame something that no one else has ever had to sail and will probably never have to sail again. ”

Harris also said she has made it clear she wants to be “a president for all Americans.”
