Kamala Harris Addresses Voter’s Future Summit via Video
In a recent event, former Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a pre-recorded message for the 2025 Voter’s Future Summit. The focus of the summit is on empowering Gen Z politically, featuring remarks from notable figures such as former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Representative Ro Khanna (D-Calif).
While Pelosi and Khanna spoke live, Harris’s message was presented through video. She emphasized the ongoing effort to build political power and community coalitions. “We will continue to build political power, communities, and challenge the status quo,” Harris stated. She expressed a commitment to fighting for a country that serves everyone, noting, “I look forward to continuing to fight with you.”
“The last few months have been really rough. Umm, let’s pause for that,” she said. “Your generation has grown up at the forefront of so many crises, from Covid and the climate crisis to gun violence and mental health.” Harris highlighted the importance of organizations that uplift young leaders.
Following her loss to Donald Trump in the 2024 election, Harris pledged to stay committed to her efforts, although she has not declared her intentions regarding the California governor’s race next year or a potential run for president in 2028.
“In campaigns, we often say, ‘When we fight, we win.’ But there are times when fighting doesn’t guarantee victory,” she noted. “We all have to stay in the fight,” she urged students at Prince George County Community College in Maryland.
As it stands, Harris remains a leading candidate in the Democratic primary, with former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg following behind.
