Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker appeared on Fox News Thursday and appeared to hint that he would vote for former President Donald Trump.
At the time, Butker supported Republican Sen. Josh Hawley of Ohio. asked Does he also support Trump?
The left immediately denounced Butker as a racist and misogynist.
He responded, “I support the president who will be the most pro-life president.'' “That's the most important theme for me. We want to fight for the most vulnerable, for the unborn child. That's our priority.”
When asked again if he would vote for Trump, he answered again in a roundabout way.
“I think we need to vote for the person who will be the most pro-life,” Kicker said.
Butker became a target of the left and a darling of the right after she gave a commencement address at Benedictine College, a small Catholic school, in May in favor of more traditional roles for women and men. He also interjected other conservative values into his speech.
“I think it's you, the women, who have told the most diabolical lies,” Butker said. “While some of you may go on to have successful careers in the world, I would venture to guess that the vast majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into the world. I think my beautiful wife, Isabelle, can be the first to say that her life truly began when she began fulfilling her duties as a wife and mother.
The left immediately denounced Butker as a racist and misogynist, while the right praised him for speaking out about traditional values. Despite hateful rhetoric on social media, sales of Butker merchandise skyrocketed soon after. In August, the Chiefs made Butker the highest-paid kicker in NFL history.
President Trump has said he opposes a nationwide abortion ban, but he has taken credit for sending the justices to the Supreme Court that helped overturn the U.S. Supreme Court's decision. Roe vs. Wade.
