A Harvard University faculty group formed to support pro-Palestinian students posted an anti-Semitic image on Monday, which they later deleted and apologized for, but later sparked protests on campus and led to the investigation of a congressional investigator. It attracted attention.
The post, published on Instagram by Harvard University’s Palestine Justice Faculty (FSJP), included a depiction of a man holding a leash in his hand with a Jewish religious symbol controlling two black people. . Apparently it was a caricature from the 1960s.

Many Jewish groups on campus called the illustration just the latest shocking example of anti-Semitism at Harvard.

The university announced Monday night that it is investigating social media posts containing anti-Semitic images by two pro-Palestinian student groups and will refer the matter to Harvard’s Board of Trustees.

The post came from two student groups, Harvard Palestine Solidarity Committee and African American Resistance Organization, but most of the initial criticism came from Harvard faculty and staff who reposted the image on their Instagram Stories. was directed at pro-Palestinian groups.

Harvard University’s Palestine Justice Faculty Group apologized for the post, saying it was “linked to our account” and simply promoting it, as if the group hadn’t taken the time to publish the post itself on Instagram. I apologized as if I had just done it. Passive role.
The post was flagged by the House Education and Labor Committee, which just last Friday issued a subpoena to Harvard to explain the rise in anti-Semitism on campus.

Former Harvard University president Claudine Gay resigned last month after failing to explain to Congress whether calling for the extermination of Jews violated campus policy. However, the immediate catalyst for her resignation was the deepening plagiarism scandal, not her intransigent stance against anti-Semitism at Harvard.
