Nearly 5,000 people prayed to accept Christ at a Harvest Crusade evangelistic event in the Los Angeles metropolitan area on Saturday. Gregg Rolie It stems from a widespread longing for God. Organizers said 50,000 people showed up to the Harvest Crusade at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. 3,500 accepted Christ in person and another 1,500 online. An online stream was tuned in by 200,000 people. Chris Tomlin, Phil Wickham and Brooke Ligertwood sang.
Angel Stadium is the home of the professional baseball team, the Los Angeles Angels.
“It was absolutely sold out. 50,000 people filled Angel Stadium,” Lawrie said. Said“In fact, the fire chief ended up locking the doors because they wouldn’t let anyone in.
“But what I loved was that people stayed outside the gates and participated in the service with us. … There was so much energy and excitement in the space as thousands of us worshipped together as if we were one voice.”
After Laurie’s sermon, invitations were given and thousands of people walked to the site to speak with counselors.
“We’re just giving God the glory for what he’s done,” Laurie said.
Laurie, the pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, said he has a few theories as to why this year’s evangelism efforts have been so “powerful and effective.”
“I think it’s probably a combination of events that are going on. What’s going on in our country, the great instability, what’s going on in the political world, the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, and now President Biden just announced that he’s dropping out of the race,” he said.“ Laurie said.
Just an update on what God did at last Saturday’s Harvey Crusade. Many feel this was the biggest crusade in our 35 year history. I agree. New information has come in so I’ve made some adjustments to the numbers. 50,000 people… pic.twitter.com/6gWy6jKGN4

There is also instability around the world, he added.
“And there’s a general hunger for God.“ He said.
“People like to write off California. I joke and say California’s greatest export is Californians going out, but we get a lot of new people coming in. When we do events like this, we really enjoy seeing people of all backgrounds — old, young, white, black, Hispanic, Asian — come and come to Christ.”
“It seems like people from all over the world are taking part in this crusade.“ “We just want to thank God [and] Give glory to the Lord.”
