Has the persecution of Christians begun in America?

Although our nation’s culture is based on Christianity, John Daniel Davidson, author of “Pagan America,” argues that Christianity is no longer the dominant religion in America.

According to Davidson, we are instead heading down the dark path of paganism.

“I think we’re entering a post-Christian era for America and the Western world,” Davidson tells Glenn Beck.

And others also agree with him. Richard Dawkins has recently been recorded as saying that the number of believers is declining, but unlike Davidson and Beck, he thinks that is a “good thing”.

“What does he think will happen to all the cathedrals and all the parish churches? In the case of England they will turn into mosques, or apartments and nightclubs. So what will happen to us? We will You become a pagan,” Davidson explains.

Examples of post-Christian pagan societies in the 20th century, Davidson explains, were the Soviet Union and Germany, which were characterized by “force, coercion” and “denial of humanity.”

“We see it everywhere,” Glenn said, asking Davidson if there was a way to turn this around.

“I don’t think there’s a way to turn things around in our lifetime,” Davidson said. “I do not believe that Christianity will ultimately be defeated. As a Roman Catholic myself, I believe in the permanence of the Church and the Christian faith and final victory.”

“But there are things we can do to preserve the torch and rebuild it amidst the ruins,” he says. “Transmit the faith to our children. Carve out space for our churches and communities, and this is an important part, but we will not retreat into those communities, we will find places where we can win and fight.” Masu.”
