A Hawaiian tour helicopter crashed on a remote beach on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, injuring one person on board, officials said Tuesday.

The Kauai Fire Department said in a news release that the Jack Harter helicopter had a pilot and four passengers on board when it crashed on Honopu Beach around 1:40 p.m.

One passenger suffered a lower back injury, but the other three passengers and the pilot reported no injuries in the incident.

Fire officials shared photos from the shore showing a crumpled helicopter resting on the sand.
