High School Athlete Takes Stand Against Transgender Players
Francis Staudt, a high school athlete from Washington, has chosen not to compete against a basketball team that included transgender players, citing concerns for her safety and personal beliefs.
Reflecting on an incident from February 6, 2025, she described how a biological male from another school leveraged physical advantages to overpower his competitors, leaving his own teammates harmed and frustrated.
“I felt really upset because nobody stepped in to help us—not the staff, coaches, or referees. It seems we’re pressured to stay quiet and accept things we know aren’t true,” she stated after the game.
This led to Staudt facing accusations of discrimination and receiving threats from other players and adults.
Staudt noted, “It was strikingly clear there were biological differences between boys and girls,” as she recounted her first encounter with the player on the court.
She admitted she played quite aggressively herself, often doing things not typically done by girls, like pushing opponents.
When she first considered quitting, she noticed that many seemed indifferent. However, things changed when she expressed her anger about male players hurting female students.
Upon approaching the principal about her concerns, she was told the school would not “misgender” anyone, despite this individual being significantly older than her at the time.
“When I was 15, I shouldn’t have had an 18-year-old man in my locker room. That’s just not safe or right,” she explained.
Currently, Staudt has filed a lawsuit and is waiting for a response, hoping for a positive outcome.
In the meantime, she’s committed to advocating for young women everywhere, inspired by the late Charlie Kirk. “I admired Charlie Kirk a lot. He really inspired me,” she shared. “It’s crucial to champion what we believe in, shaped by my family’s teachings. His legacy should encourage us to take pride in our country.”
