There are illegal foreigners charging amidst the murders of two elderly gay men after he fled from authorities who were trying to deport him for robbery.
Zsolt Zsolyomi, 25, confessed to separate murders of two disabled children, allegedly being charged with two counts of murder in each case.
“If he hadn't been caught, he would have done this over and over again.”
Zsolyomi's alleged crime began when he overstayed a visa and was arrested in 2024 for robbery.
An expelling order was issued for the man after immigration and customs enforcement agencies realized he had overestimated his visa for more than two years. He was arrested in September and released with an ankle bracelet through an alternative detention program. He was clearly able to disable the ankle bracelet and eliminate the authorities.
Then, in November, police found 66-year-old Carlos Alonso Villa Kiran facing downwards in the water in the tub at his Miami Beach apartment. The amputee died of strangulation, and surveillance cameras captured the image of a man who had entered the apartment a day ago.
Police found an intimate text on the phone to a man named “Thomas.” He then showed that Villaquiran had accused him of stealing his property and threatened to go to the police.
Villaquiran's car went missing from the house and was later found to have been abandoned after crashing, but police were unable to obtain fingerprints from the vehicle.
Later in January, Miami police found that 71-year-old Fernandez DeVerasco had died in a crash-falling car in a Little Havana neighborhood, but he was not killed in the crash. Deverasco was found with both seat belts wrapped tightly around his neck and traumatic injuries.
This time, police were able to obtain fingerprints from the vehicle and matched them with Zsolyomi. Police tied the two murders together.
The man was arrested in downtown Miami on February 19th, and police said he had confessed to both murders.
