Heartland states reject left’s culture of death by voting down abortion

According to the latest election results, voters in South Dakota, Nebraska and Florida decisively chose to protect the life of the unborn child and voted against abortion policies.

The so-called abortion “right” was also on the ballot in seven other states this election, including Maryland, Colorado, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, Arizona and New York.

“Being pro-life is not a matter of losing.”

South Dakota voters lost Modified GIf passed, this bill would legalize abortion in all circumstances during early pregnancy. It would allow states to decide when to allow abortions, but only “by methods reasonably related to the physical health of the pregnant woman.” Abortion late in pregnancy could also be legalized if it is “necessary in the medical judgment of the attending physician to protect the life and health of the pregnant woman.”

After the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. WadeSouth Dakota prohibits abortion unless it is necessary to save the mother's life.

Pro-life voters won in a landslide, rejecting Amendment G by a 19-point margin. All but four counties in South Dakota voted against the bill.

This election cycle, Nebraska had two abortion-related bills on the ballot, including the Abortion Rights Initiative and the Women and Children Protection Initiative.

The first measure, Measure 439, would amend the state constitution to enshrine the right to kill infants until viable or if deemed necessary to protect the mother's health. The second measure would amend the state constitution to ban abortions after the first trimester, with exceptions for medical emergencies, sexual assault and incest.

Nebraska voters rejected Measure 439, which would have expanded abortion legalization, and instead supported Measure 434, an effort by the state to extend the state's existing 12-week abortion ban.

More than 51% of voters voted against the measure, according to an Associated Press election report.

In Florida, voters rejected Amendment 4, which would have amended the state constitution to effectively legalize late-term abortions, Blaze News previously reported. The bill needed 60% approval to pass, but received just 57.1% of the votes.

Liz Wheeler of BlazeTV said“Florida's Fourth Amendment, which would have legalized abortion up to the moment of birth, has failed.”

“Praise the Lord,” she continued. “This is included [sic] An incredible victory…and an incredible lesson for Republicans. Being pro-life is not a matter of losing. ”

President-elect Donald Trump secured victory in all three states where abortion policies were struck.

The pro-life movement scored some victories on Election Day, but the abortion amendment passed Also in several other states, including Arizona, Colorado, Maryland, Montana and Nevada.

In Missouri, voters passed the Third Amendment, creating a constitutional right to abortion. However, it would also allow Congress to regulate access to abortion after the first trimester.
