Hezbollah Celebrates Trump Win by Firing Rockets at Trump Heights, Israel

Hezbollah fired a rocket into the Israeli town of Trump Heights on Wednesday morning to commemorate President-elect Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 US presidential election.

There were no reports of damage there.

However, in the town of Ra'anana near Tel Aviv, fragments of a Hezbollah missile destroyed by an Israeli missile defense system fell on a parked car, damaging it.

Because of the risk of falling debris, remain in a shelter or safe room for 10 minutes after a rocket siren, even if the Iron Dome Interception System or other systems destroy the projectile. Israel advises its citizens.

Trump Plateau was named after Trump in recognition of Israel's recognition of sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which was taken from Syria in the 1967 defensive war.

President Trump has promised to end the war in Lebanon and do whatever it takes to protect Israel from Iranian-backed terrorist organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas.

An end to the war could provide the new administration with an opportunity to score major foreign policy wins early on, such as expanding the Abraham Accords to include Saudi Arabia.
