Hillary Clinton challenges Epstein subpoena: It’s time for Trump to actually hold her accountable

Clintons Skip Testimony on Epstein

Bill and Hillary Clinton did not show up for a scheduled deposition after being subpoenaed by the Republican-led House Oversight Committee. They were supposed to provide closed-door testimony regarding their past associations with Jeffrey Epstein and the federal investigation into his serious crimes.

In earlier correspondence, the Clintons indicated they would not comply with the subpoena, calling it politically motivated and legally invalid.

Following their absence, Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) announced plans to hold the Clintons in contempt of Congress. A committee vote on this matter is anticipated next week, which might then lead to a full House vote and a possible referral to the Justice Department.

Liz Wheeler, host of Blaze TV, remarked that this situation provides President Trump a second opportunity to take action against Hillary Clinton—something she believes should have happened long ago.

Wheeler expressed skepticism about the Clintons’ sense of legality, stating, “They’ve long believed they’re above the law, and sadly, it seems they often are.” She added that they have rarely faced accountability for their alleged wrongdoing, which might contribute to their belief that they can disregard legal obligations.

She pointed out that in 2022, Trump associates Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro faced charges of contempt of Congress, leading to prison sentences, which they actually served.

The Clintons’ joint response cited executive privilege, a power allowing certain communications to remain confidential. While this might apply to Bill Clinton, it is less likely to be effective for Hillary, Wheeler suggested.

“Who exactly does Hillary think she is?” Wheeler questioned. “She’s held various prestigious roles but, at the end of the day, she’s now a private citizen and not exempt from legal scrutiny.”

Wheeler went on to outline a series of alleged offenses by Hillary, asserting that she exploited her power for personal gain, especially while serving as Secretary of State. “She sought and accepted payoffs while selling access to herself and others,” she said.

When caught in these actions, Wheeler alleges, “She employed BleachBit, which effectively wipes clean any digital evidence.”

The sentiment was clear: “Lock her up.”
