Hillary Clinton floated as ‘mightiest of all’ Biden replacements in column, gets mocked online

Social media users were surprised by a new column in “The Hill” that features former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as a possible successor to President Biden’s 2024 running mate.

Pablo Ohana, opinion contributor for the media Wrote the work The paper published an article on Saturday titled “Preparing for Round 2: Why we need Hillary now more than ever,” which argued that the former Secretary of State, who was defeated by former President Trump in 2016, is the best person to succeed Biden amid growing calls for him to suspend his reelection campaign.

The article gained traction on social media, with people like Jason Miller, a senior adviser to President Trump, theorizing that there must be some basis to the allegations. “SHE’S RUNNING!!!” he declared.

“The most powerful argument against replacing President Joe Biden as the 2024 Democratic nominee is the notion that there is no suitable successor. But there is a successor — and not just a good successor, but one of the most qualified people ever to run for the office: Hillary Rodham Clinton,” Ohana wrote in the column.

He even argued that Clinton is “perhaps the strongest” alternative to Biden, as she is “younger than both Biden and Trump,” has an “unparalleled resume and unparalleled depth of experience,” and is a strong supporter of “children’s rights and health care.”

The author goes so far as to say that there are “millions” of voters who regret not voting for her in 2016 and would like a do-over.

“These swing-back voters are essential to victory, and Clinton could turn past regret into positive support by providing a powerful reminder of the risks of going astray in 2024.”

Ohana ended his article by declaring, “In Hillary Clinton, Democrats have an experienced, savvy, and adaptable candidate. Freed from the baggage of incumbency, she can run on a promise of stability, recovery and progress, with the credentials and proven leadership of a lifetime of public service. In her candidacy, we may find our best chance to keep the White House and transcend the political arena.”

Do these Biden candidates have what it takes to beat Trump?

Jason Miller

The article garnered attention on X. In a post, Miller added, “Opinion pieces like this don’t happen naturally. Crooked is on the move!!!”

Conservative commentator Alex Shepherd said of the article: “If so, this is great news for Trump – she is the least liked politician in history.”

Deon Joseph, a former police officer and law enforcement consultant, responded to Miller’s post, saying, “Hardly, no. I’m definitely voting for Trump now.”

User @TheMagaHulk wrote, “Especially after Saturday, Hillary and Kamala are the only two people really trying to take on Trump in this election.”
