House Republicans have stepped up their criticism of Harvard University, issuing subpoenas to several leaders for failing to produce documents related to alleged obstruction of Harvard University. House Education and Labor Committee‘s An investigation into allegations of anti-Semitism that surfaced on campus due to the Israel-Hamas war in the Middle East.
Rep. Burgess Owens (R-Utah) told Fox News on Sunday: “We’re asking for things like the minutes of the meetings that they’re having, because of the anti-Semitism that’s going on. We are asking for their response.”
“There are 32 pro-Hamas groups on campus, and we want to find out what they are doing to make Jewish students feel safe.”

Owens, a member of the committee leading the investigation, accused Harvard of displaying “institutional arrogance” in relation to the issue.
“Instead of dealing with the issues that we are going to discuss, they are trying to move on slowly and Congress has finally met, thankfully… [who’s] I’m not going to hold back [it] “No more,” he continued.
“We want answers…so we will continue to hold these people accountable.”
Committee Chair Rep. Virginia Foxx, RN.C., last week joined Harvard University Senior Fellow Penny Pritzker, Interim Provost Dr. Alan Garber, and Harvard Management Company Chief Executive Officer N.P. Harvard University issued the subpoena to Narvekar after he failed to provide sufficient documentation on two issues. Of his four priority requests by February 14th at 5 p.m.

Harvard University is now expected to produce a document in 11 key areas that indicates what steps the university has taken or will take to ensure that: jewish student “I feel safe and welcome on campus.”
“I hope these subpoenas serve as a wake-up call to Harvard that Congress will not tolerate anti-Semitic hatred in our classrooms and on our campus,” Fox said.
Requested documents must be submitted by March 4th at 5:00 p.m.
A Harvard spokesperson claimed in a statement that Harvard “provided substantial and honest responses to 10 submissions totaling more than 3,500 pages that directly address important areas of inquiry.”

Guy Benson, guest host on Sunday’s “Fox & Friends Weekend,” asked Owens what the purpose of the investigation was.
“We had anti-Semitism hearings a few months ago. Since October 7th, [we] I became aware of the systemic problems of anti-Semitism, hatred, and division on college campuses. “By the way, it’s not just Harvard,” he replied.
“There is something called the Marxization of education…. We have been experiencing this for the past few decades, where Marxists have taught us not to love our country, but to indoctrinate our children. We’re changing the education system of… This is something we can’t think about, we can’t have a vision for our future, and we’re changing all these universities because this is really a national security issue. is held responsible.
“I really want to thank the American people for giving us the opportunity to get a majority in our conference. Education is a top priority and we can finally address these issues.”
