Honda is recalling approximately 720,800 vehicles across multiple models due to possible defects in parts within the high-pressure fuel pumps.
The recalled 2023-2024 Honda Accord and Accord Hybrid, 2025 Honda Civic and Civic Hybrid, and 2023-2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid vehicles have cracks in the high-pressure fuel pump parts. The automaker announced that this could occur and cause a fuel leak. in Recall report for October 14th Submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
“If a fuel leak occurs in the presence of an ignition source, the risk of fire, collision, and injury increases,” the automaker said.

If the pump is cracked, “fuel leakage may occur when the high-pressure fuel pump is activated in low-mileage vehicles,” according to the recall report.
Honda recalls 1.7 million vehicles due to defective steering gearbox parts
Honda said in a news release that it was announcing the recall to “encourage affected vehicle owners to return their vehicles to an authorized dealer for repair as soon as they are notified.”

According to the recall report, there have been no injuries or deaths due to the fuel pump problem since the automaker received the first warranty claim last February. A total of 145 warranty claims were made.

Honda dealers said that during inspections of recalled vehicles, “If a defect is found in the high-pressure fuel pump, we will replace it.'' Inspections and parts replacement are free.

Recall notices are expected to be mailed to Honda customers in December.

According to the recall report, the problem was caused by “improper manufacturing of the high-pressure fuel pump.”

The report said the supplier's production processes had been “improved” to address issues with fuel pump parts. Honda began using an “improved” fuel pump in model production early last month.
