Meghan King’s Children Spending Thanksgiving with Jim Edmonds
Meghan King’s three kids will celebrate Thanksgiving with their father, Jim Edmonds, after she temporarily lost custody, as reported by Page Six.
According to sources, King will have visitation rights on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but the children will be with Edmonds and his wife, Courtney, at their home in Tennessee for the holiday. It’s not clear how King, who resides in Missouri, plans to spend Thanksgiving this year.
Last week, it was revealed that King had temporarily lost custody of her daughter Aspen, 9, and twin sons Hart and Hayes, 7, to her ex-husband. Allegedly, King had been giving Ritalin to Hayes without a formal ADHD diagnosis. This raised concerns that led Child Protective Services (CPS) to initiate an investigation after King reportedly asked a school nurse to administer medication without a prescription.
Jim, 55, and Courtney were in Tennessee when they learned about the CPS inquiry, prompting them to rush back to Missouri. A temporary restraining order has been granted, and a court hearing on more permanent arrangements is slated for December 9. While King hasn’t publicly addressed the issue, her former co-star, Kelly Dodd, has called Jim an “amazing” parent and expressed hope for King to “get our baby back.”
King and Jim tied the knot in October 2014 but divorced in May 2021 following a cheating scandal. Although they initially agreed to share joint custody of their children, various complications have arisen, including a police incident in May when Courtney reportedly called officers over alleged trespassing at their property.
During this incident, King described Jim as “incredibly emotionally abusive” and claimed the situation was “misrepresented.” According to a representative, she made a brief call to her daughter but didn’t enter the house, and the encounter with police felt unnecessarily aggressive.
