Formula 1 is making its comeback to Madrid for the first time since 1981.
Today, on September 13, the Spanish Grand Prix will take place, marking the second race in Spain this season after the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix held in June. This event will be the inaugural F1 race at the brand-new Madring circuit.
In a fiercely competitive qualifying session yesterday, reigning World Drivers Champion Lando Norris of McLaren secured pole position with a time of 1:31.824. Kimi Antonelli, the current WDC leader from Mercedes, will start in the second position, while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen completes the top three.
