How to watch the full slate of 2024 NBA Christmas games for free

For NBA fans, Christmas may be the most sacred day of the year.

Every December 25th, the league has five big games scheduled, once again featuring Adam Silver and company. Not disappointed.

Starting at noon ET, the red-hot New York Knicks will take on the visiting San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden. This rematch of the 1999 Finals showcases two of basketball's preeminent centers: Karl-Anthony Towns and Victor Wembaneyama. The pair are averaging 24.5 and 24.7 points per game, respectively.

Two and a half hours later, Towns' former team, the Minnesota Timberwolves, will face the 2023-24 Western Conference champion Dallas Mavericks. The two clubs most recently met on Oct. 29, with Minnie winning 120-114 behind Anthony Edwards' 37 points. Kyrie Irving scored 35 points for the Mavs.

Once the game is over, Eastern Conference opponents take up their positions on the court. The Boston Celtics, the 2023-24 NBA champions, are scheduled to face the Philadelphia 76ers at 5 p.m. ET. Heading into this matchup, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and the Celts are in good form with an impressive record of 22-6, while Tyrese Maxey and Paul George lead the Sixers with a 9-17 record. This has led to a result that cannot be called a very good result. A win here would greatly boost the club's morale.

If you're still in the area, you'll be able to meet future Hall of Famers LeBron James and Stephen Curry when the Lakers take on the Warriors at 8pm ET. James turns 40 on December 30th and Steph turns 37 in March, so this could be the last time these hardwood heroes appear, as both legends have spent years establishing themselves. may become a Christmas classic.

Finally, Kevin Durant's Phoenix Suns and Nikola Jokic's Denver Nuggets will conclude the hoops marathon with a contest at 10:30 p.m. ET. Mike Budenholzer's Suns could pick up a win after losing two straight to sub-.500 teams in the Eastern Conference and moving further and further away from the playoffs. Thankfully, Devin Booker is back and could give the team the Christmas miracle it so desperately needs.
