How will the grid line up for the F1 Sprint race at the Chinese Grand Prix?

When I competed in the F1 sprint race at the Chinese Grand Prix, Landorris was my favourite. The McLaren driver finished an impressive performance starting his year at the Australian Grand Prix, breaking through the timing sheet in a single practice session, second fastest in SQ1 and fastest in SQ2.

However, when the checkered flag flew to close the SQ3, Norris went down on P6 and the driver who pinned him in SQ1 (new Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton) sat in pole's position.

“To be honest, I'm a bit of a gobsmack. I'm a bit surprised by that. I didn't know when I would reach this position,” Hamilton said after competing on the official Formula 1 channel.

Hamilton's pole position is his first mark at Ferrari and the second F1 sprint pole position of his legendary career. His first F1 sprint pole position returned to the British Grand Prix in 2021, the weekend of the first F1 sprint race in the history of the sport.

As for whether Hamilton can hold the P1 in the F1 sprint race itself, and whether he can bring home eight points to the winner, Ferrari drivers have admitted there are some fast cars around him this weekend.

“I hope we can hold onto it, but I think McClairn is very, very fast. [Verstappen, who starts second]. But we are in a good position. We will remain positive, keep our heads high and continue to move forward,” Hamilton added.

This is the temporary starting grid for the F1 sprint race at the Chinese Grand Prix.
