Hewlett-Packard said on Monday it would continue a lawsuit in Britain seeking up to $4 billion in damages against the estate of British billionaire Mike Lynch.

“HPE intends to pursue this litigation to its completion,” the company said in an emailed statement to Reuters.
HP bought Autonomy for $11.1 billion in 2011 in one of the UK's biggest technology deals. But in late 2012, the company also acquired a huge Accounting Scandal at a UK technology company.
In 2022, HP won a civil lawsuit against Lynch, but a Superior Court judge said the damages would be less than the $5 billion HP had sought.
A spokesman for Lynch's family said they were unable to comment at this stage.
The company has filed suit against both Lynch and Autonomy's former chief financial officer, Sushovan Hussain.
