On Thursday, more than 400 national security and foreign policy officials, former Cabinet members, veterans and Gold Star families supported former President Trump.
In an open letter co-authored by former National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien and former NSC Chief of Staff Alex Gray, the signatories condemn the Biden-Harris administration's “repeated failures” in foreign policy. He appealed to the American people for Trump's re-election.
“Under President Trump, there was a peaceful world, but under the Biden-Harris administration, World War III is closer than ever,” the letter reads. “With multiple wars raging around the world, open borders allowing terrorists to flow into the American mainland, and unabated activity from malign powers like China, America's national security is in jeopardy with Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. – Hugely undermined by Biden's failed policies.
The letter of support was signed by several prominent Trump administration officials, including former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, former Attorney General Bill Barr, and former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and 2024 Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley.

Writing in X, O'Brien said he was “honored” to work with former Trump administration colleagues to “support a return to a 'peace through strength' foreign policy under President Trump.”
Another signatory, Dr. Jerry Hendricks, former director of the Secretary of the Navy's Advisory Council, said it was “not a difficult decision” to put his name on the letter.
“Mr. Trump has been one of the most successful foreign policy presidents since the Cold War,” Hendricks wrote in X. “He ended sequestration. He invested in the Navy. The Biden-Harris administration has made one foreign policy blunder after another.”
The Trump campaign did not respond to requests for comment.
