Some people love pasta.

A Wisconsin woman was jailed for breaking into a home where someone had enough time to make themselves a delicious pasta dinner.

Police responded to the scene late Tuesday night after a resident of a Madison residence returned home to find someone inside the home and all the lights on.

Authorities said Lee met officers at the front door and claimed he was allowed into the home after confirming the resident's name, Fox reported.

“Lee detailed how he had previously met the resident at a coffee shop and been given a key to the house,” police told the outlet. “Lee had been in the house long enough to cook himself a dinner of shrimp and pasta.”

Residents disputed Lee's story to police, saying she was a stranger and was not allowed to enter the home or have food.

Investigators later discovered that Lee had fabricated the story by reading residents' mail, according to Fox News.

Lee was charged with theft and trespassing and is being held in the Dane County Jail in Madison.
