In a recent conversation with Candace Owens, Hunter Biden made some striking claims, suggesting that Israeli intelligence was behind the corruption allegations swirling around him and his father, former President Joe Biden.
The 56-year-old asserted that two Israeli-Americans, Alexander Smirnov, a disgraced FBI informant, and fugitive Gal Luft, were pivotal in the long-running investigation into the Biden family. He mentioned this during a lengthy chat with Owens, which lasted around two hours.
“These are the two main figures who have been associated with my father in discussions of corruption and bribery,” Biden claimed.
Owens, known for her tendency to promote conspiracy theories and her critical stance towards Israel, has previously received the title of “Anti-Semite of the Year” from the group Stop Anti-Semitism.
Both Smirnov and Luft featured prominently in Republicans’ unsuccessful impeachment efforts against President Biden in 2023.
Smirnov had previously alleged that the Bidens received $10 million in bribes from a Ukrainian businessman during Joe Biden’s vice presidency. However, he later admitted that it was completely false and has since been sentenced to several years in prison.
Luft, meanwhile, was indicted in 2022 on federal arms trafficking charges and claimed that the Biden family received funds from individuals associated with the Chinese military. After being arrested in Cyprus, he fled while released on bail and was later detained in the U.S.
Hunter highlighted that Luft, a former officer in the Israel Defense Forces, is believed to be hiding in Israel, adding that “the Israelis won’t help in locating him.”
He also referred to Smirnov as someone with ties to “Israeli intelligence.”
“We can’t track down a guy who’ve spent six years in an American prison. Supposedly, he’s on furlough, but nobody knows where he is,” Hunter remarked, mentioning that Smirnov’s only passport is Israeli.
Smirnov’s attorney informed the press last November that his client had been released on medical leave due to worsening eye issues.
Hunter then expressed his skepticism about unseen forces at play, stating, “I used to think, ‘This is nonsense,'” and asked Owens if she had read “The Devil’s Chessboard,” which discusses the CIA’s quiet yet formidable rise to power.
The Biden family has been embroiled in various corruption claims dating back to the 2020 Democratic primaries, including infamous discussions around laptop contents that gained significant media attention.
