I Feel Sorry for Ukraine But We Forced This Issue — Putin Just Got Tired of It

In an interview broadcast Monday on Radio FM Talk 106.5 in Mobile, Alabama, Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aggressive actions against Ukraine on the U.S. He argued that foreign policy was to blame.

Negotiations with Russia could have resulted in a better outcome, and the Biden administration could have focused on domestic issues, according to a senior US senator from Alabama.

“I’m sorry for Ukraine, but we forced this issue,” he said. “We kept forcing NATO all the way to Eastern Europe. And President Putin got fed up with it. He said, ‘Listen, I don’t want missiles on our border with the United States.’ It would be like Russia coming to Mexico and installing missiles in Mexico. I can understand what he’s saying. ”

“Negotiations should have taken place,” Tuberville continued. “This administration doesn’t know how to negotiate. Antony Blinken, our Secretary of State — oh man, was that the best we knew? And hundreds of thousands of people have been killed over this. But again, we’re losing hundreds of thousands of people in this country because we don’t have borders. They don’t want to close it. We want votes. Everyone says, “You came up with a border package and you didn’t vote for it.” It was not a border package. It was a border perk. Nothing could be stopped at the border. Democrats don’t want to do that. ”

“We have to come November and vote these people out, or this election as we know it will be over, because without us voting, Because we can’t afford to keep having two or three million people coming in for another four years.”Know who they are,” he added.
