‘I fully endorse President Trump’

President Trump has a new enthusiastic fan: billionaire Elon Musk. I officially supported him. Following Saturday’s assassination attempt on the president, “The last time we had a candidate that tough was Theodore Roosevelt.”

“I fully support President Trump and wish him a speedy recovery.” Musk wrote: Trump was shot in the parking lot of his X hotel, 30 minutes after he was shot at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Police sources said one man was killed and another seriously injured, while Trump escaped serious injury with a wound to his right ear. The shooter was later killed.

Musk also criticized the Secret Service for not stopping the sniper, reposting a tweet from Jack Posobiec who asked, “Was a sniper with a full loadout rifle allowed to crawl onto the roof closest to a presidential candidate?”

“Either gross incompetence or deliberate intent,” Musk wrote. “Either way, the SS leadership must step down.”

He targeted Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, reposting a tweet that included her online biography, which stated that her work history prior to taking over at the Secret Service included being a senior director at PepsiCo.

“Before she was guarding the president, she was guarding a bag of Cheetos…” Musk wrote.

In response to a post asking “why wasn’t this more obvious?” Musk wrote, “Exactly.”

Musk, owner of Billionaire X, Tesla and SpaceX, has fully endorsed Trump on his policies, saying “the last time we had such a formidable candidate was Theodore Roosevelt.” AP

“The head of the Secret Service and the leader of this security force should resign,” he added in another post.

The gunman who attempted to assassinate President Trump at Saturday’s rally was positioned on the roof of a manufacturing plant more than 130 yards from the stage.

The outdoor campaign event was held at the Butler Farm Show grounds, whose vast grounds gave the sniper a nearly unobstructed view of the former president.

The Washington Post reported that the gunman was killed by a sniper team, which responded to gunfire from behind the bleachers on the roof of another building near where Trump was standing, according to sources.

After reportedly missing a potentially fatal bullet by centimetres or millimetres, Trump was helped off the stage by Secret Service agents and said he was “OK” after the bullet pierced his right ear. AP

A police official told The Associated Press that an AR-style semi-automatic assault rifle was recovered from the scene.

Musk has reportedly already donated to political groups supporting former President Trump in the 2024 election.

Musk, 53, made a “substantial” donation to the America PAC. Bloomberg News reported on Friday.

According to the media, super PACs have until July 15 to disclose their donor lists.
