"I Wish Your Wife Would Die": ICE Agents Experience 8,000% Rise in Death Threats

ICE Agents Facing Surge in Death Threats

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials have reported a staggering rise in death threats aimed at their agents and their families, a situation that is unprecedented. This week, ICE revealed that there has been an 8,000 percent increase in death threats and over a 1,300 percent rise in assaults against officers attributed to supporters of the “abolish ICE” movement.

In a particularly alarming incident, an ICE agent received a voicemail where the caller used abusive language and made threats against both the agent and his wife. The voicemail included harrowing statements like, “I want my wife dead,” and expressed a desire for the agent to suffer various misfortunes in his life.

The caller further stated, “I hope you get hit by a bus,” and characterized the agent as a “traitor.” There was a clear intention in the message to convey significant hostility and incitement.

Tricia McLaughlin, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), asserted that the rhetoric from certain Democratic officials in sanctuary jurisdictions has emboldened anti-ICE activists and fueled this wave of intimidation against its employees. She commented, “This is threatening rhetoric, and the unprecedented violence against law enforcement is being incited by sanctuary politicians.”

McLaughlin also noted that labeling ICE as akin to “Nazi Gestapo” or “slave patrols” carries serious repercussions. She emphasized that the employees of ICE are individuals with families who strive daily to enhance community safety, just like anyone else.

Last October, some members of the illegal alien group, the Latin Kings, faced charges related to the murder of U.S. Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino. Investigations reveal collaboration between Mexican drug cartels, U.S. gangs, and anti-ICE activists, with bounties being placed on ICE agents.

Recently, twin brothers were arrested in New Jersey after they were suspected of making threats to McLaughlin.
