Recent Arrests by Federal Immigration Authorities
On Thursday, federal immigration authorities undertook a significant operation, arresting several convicted murderers, rapists, and drug traffickers. This action aligns with the Trump administration’s focus on targeting, as described by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials, “the worst of the worst” among criminal illegal immigrants in the U.S.
Acting Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security, Lauren Biss, shared with FOX News Digital, “Yesterday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested multiple murderers, rapists, and drug traffickers in our communities.” She emphasized that nearly 70 percent of ICE arrests involve illegal aliens charged or convicted of crimes. “Our police officers put their lives on the line every day to remove these criminals from our communities,” she added.

Roque Sinto-Mejia
Roque Sinto-Mejia, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, was convicted of manslaughter in Brooklyn, New York.
Alejandro de Jesus de la Cruz
Alejandro de Jesus de la Cruz, another illegal immigrant from Mexico, was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter in San Bernardino, California.
Francisco Antonio Morales-Asensio
Francisco Antonio Morales-Asensio, who comes from Guatemala, was convicted in Fairfax, Virginia, of rape, assault, and family assault.
Heriberto Mendoza Pineda
Heriberto Mendoza Pineda, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, faced charges of methamphetamine trafficking in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
Manuel Soto
Lastly, Manuel Soto, hailing from the Dominican Republic, was convicted of multiple drug-related offenses, including drug possession and intent to distribute in Boston, Massachusetts.
