ICE Arrests Multiple Convicted Child Offenders

On Friday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported the arrest of several undocumented immigrants with convictions for child sex offenses, according to a statement shared with The Daily Caller.

Five individuals were apprehended, all facing serious charges like child sexual abuse, gang assault, and incest. These individuals originated from countries including Mexico, Laos, China, and Jamaica, as stated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

“Yesterday, ICE captured several individuals who have committed heinous crimes against children,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Biss in a statement. “These individuals preyed on the most vulnerable. Under President Trump and Secretary Marin, ICE is taking action to remove these predators from our communities.”

Among those arrested was Jose Alfredo Farias Perez, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, who had been convicted of aggravated sexual assault against a child in Dallas County, Texas.

DHS also noted that Lieu Liem Saecho, a national from Laos, had been found guilty of persistent sexual abuse of a child in Redding, California. Eric Giovannini Gonzalez Vargas, another Mexican national, faced charges related to child sexual abuse in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Additionally, there were arrests of Li Chen, a Chinese national convicted of gang assault in Brooklyn, New York, and Hamlin Antonio Maurice Reed, a Jamaican national convicted of incest in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

“These individuals targeted and victimized children. Thanks to the efforts of President Trump and Secretary Marin, ICE is committed to eliminating child predators in our country,” Biss emphasized.

As reported on March 2nd, the DHS highlighted that over the past year, during the Trump administration, more than 700,000 criminally illegal immigrants had been expelled from the United States.
