ICE Arrests Multiple Illegal Immigrants with Violent Criminal Histories

On Monday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) took several individuals into custody who were found to be illegal immigrants with prior convictions for violent offenses. This information was reported through a press release made available to the media.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, five illegal immigrants were highlighted in this operation: Gustavo Guzman Galindo, Jose Rolando Aguile Garcia, Raul Castaneda Parada, Luis Gilberto Rodriguez Vilalobos, and Jason Nathaniel Lewis.

Details revealed that Guzman Galindo, originally from Mexico, had a troubling criminal record, including convictions for serious sexual crimes involving minors. He was previously sentenced to seven years in prison.

Garcia, also an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, was arrested in Bexar County, Texas, for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The 44-year-old had spent five years in prison for his crime.

Castaneda Parada, another Mexican national, had been involved in cocaine trafficking in North Carolina, showcasing a clear pattern of illicit behavior.

Rodriguez Vilalobos, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, faced charges for two counts of rape in New York, further emphasizing the serious nature of the offenses linked to these individuals.

Lewis, originally from Jamaica, confronted severe accusations as well, having been convicted of murder in the Bronx, New York. He had served a significant prison sentence of 20 years.

In a statement, Deputy Director Tricia McLaughlin emphasized the challenges faced by ICE officers in carrying out their duties, referencing a notable rise in assaults against them. McLaughlin reiterated their commitment to removing violent offenders from communities across the U.S.

“ICE continues to enforce U.S. immigration laws to identify, arrest, and remove criminally illegal aliens, aiming to protect communities nationwide,” the DHS added in their release.
