Stephen King Compares ICE to Nazis
Author Stephen King has drawn a controversial comparison between immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) agents and the Nazis, describing them as part of an “American Gestapo.” He shared this sentiment on his Blue Sky account, albeit with a slight misspelling. “ICE looks like American guest paw,” he wrote.
In his comments, King criticized ICE’s actions, particularly in light of the Trump administration’s approach, which has intensified deportations and operations in various U.S. cities. A report revealed by Breitbart News highlights that ICE agents are facing a 500% increase in assaults while carrying out their duties.
According to data from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), this rise in violence coincides with ongoing attempts to locate and arrest undocumented immigrants. DHS Deputy Director Tricia McLaughlin mentioned this alarming trend during an interview with Breitbart News, noting a recent case involving the arrest of a convicted child sex offender in Minnesota.
In addition to his comments on ICE, King made headlines again this week when he stated, “It’s good to have a woman in charge of a country that has nuclear weapons,” adding that “women talk to each other” and are generally more reasonable than their male counterparts.
