ICE rounds up over 600 illegal aliens, most with criminal histories

Immigration and customs enforcement agencies concluded with more than 600 illegal foreigners as part of the multi-agency attacks from February 23 to March 2.

ICE worked with other federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to run a week-long project in the Houston, Texas area.

According to the ice press releasethe agency captured 646 illegal aliens, including 543 previously “previously “prosecuted or convicted of a criminal offence while it was illegally present in the United States.”

The Federal Immigration Service said 140 people arrested faced convictions of crimes of violent crimes, including worsening felony, murder, aggravated assault or domestic violence. More than 30 unlawful foreigners in detention have been charged or convicted of sexual offences, including sexual assault of a minor, possession of child pornography, and rape. Other crimes include illegal firearms, drug crimes, property violations and drunk driving.

“In recent years, some of the world's most dangerous fugitives, members of multinational gangs and criminals have used the crisis at our borders to illegally enter the United States,” said Brett Bradford, director of the Houston Field Office of ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations.

“After entering the country illegally, many of these criminal aliens committed violent crimes; [rain] Bradford continued his fears about law-abiding residents. “Based on by our unwavering commitment to protecting our citizens from harm and working with our resolve to restore integrity to our country's legal system, our law enforcement partners in southeastern Texas have united by removing these dangerous criminal aliens from our community and leading them to the end of the law.

Ice Homeland Security Investigation Houston Special Agent Chad Plant praised the agency's efforts to make the community safer.

“As a result, the Texas Gulf law enforcement community is more united than ever before and has sent an overwhelming message to cross-border criminal organizations that they will not rest until they eradicate these criminal elements from the country,” Plant said.

Homeland Security Department Christie Noem was appointed two new ice leaders on Sunday. She tapped Todd Lyons, former assistant director of field operations for Ice's ERO, as the acting director of federal immigration agencies. Madison Sheahan, former assistant to Noem as governor of South Dakota, has been elected deputy director of Ice.

“Todd Lions and Madison Xiahan are responsible leaders who lead ice men and women to lead ice men and women, powerful enforcers, and responsible leaders who meet American orders to target, arrest and enforce illegal aliens,” Noem said. It is listed.
