Idaho man hits pro-Tesla demonstrator with his car: police

The 70-year-old Idaho man was arrested after the victim allegedly attacked a Protesla demonstrator in his car, police say, shortly after he left a truck decorated with the “Pro Trump flag.”

Meridian's Christopher Talbot is facing a deterioration in battery following the incident other than Boise on Saturday.

“At the time of the incident, there was a protest [a] A Tesla dealer with about 30 protesters and an estimated 200 protesters in attendance. The victim was identified as a rebel at the event,” the Meridian Police Department said in a statement.

“A preliminary investigation determined that Christopher Talbot, 70, of Meridian, made an indecent gesture towards the 49-year-old victim before hitting him in his car. According to reports, the victim was driving a truck with a Pro Trump flag and parked and left the car when Talbot stuffed him in his car,” police added.

Investigators said the victim managed to drive to a local hospital and was treated for a life-threatening injury.

Talbot was reportedly arrested after the victim provided the license plate to police, and officers led him to Talbot's home in Meridian.

“The Meridian Police Department reminds people that they respect and respect the right to express their right to protest and express their right to the First Amendment without resorting to violence.” I said.

Protesters across the US held a protest Saturday at Tesla Dealers, which was billed as “Tesla Takedown Global Action Day.”

From Oregon to Massachusetts, Tesla vehicles and facilities have been destroyed in at least 10 locations this year.

What began as a protest against Elon Musk and his government efficiency (DOGE) escalated to violent incidents against Trump's allied companies, including shots fired on the building, windows of smashed dealers and charging stations set up in the fire.
