IDF Shoots Palestinian-American Teen in West Bank: A Tragedy Unfolds

A teenage American who relocated from New Jersey to the West Bank was fatally shot by Israeli forces, who claimed they were aiming at “terrorists” in vehicles.

As per Burgun’s records, the American citizen Amel Mohammad Sada Raby, a 14-year-old whose family shifted from Saddle Brook to elementary school, was killed along with two other teenagers in Terms Aya on the West Bank, reports indicate.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the soldiers fired at “three terrorists who were throwing stones at vehicles on the highway.”

“Troops targeted terrorists who were endangering civilians, neutralizing one terrorist and wounding two others,” the declaration noted.

Raby was arrested before being pronounced dead, and family members stated his body was returned to his parents with several bullet wounds.

Grief-stricken gatherers convened at the Palestinian American Community Center in Clifton on Sunday where Raby’s uncle, Salerabee, serves as the executive.

“Amel was shot by an Israeli military officer along with two other 15-year-olds in the village,” stated the Center in a release.

“Raby’s death was entirely avoidable and extremely unjust. He was a minor, only 14 years of age, and life held so much more for him.”

Records indicate that Raby moved from Saddle Brook to the West Bank during his elementary education.

Tensions have escalated in the West Bank, with violence surging since Hamas’s assault on Israel on October 7, 2023, leading to fatalities among teenagers.

The Palestinian-American Community Center also urged U.S. authorities to probe Raby’s murder, asserting that the nation “has a duty to safeguard its citizens and deliver justice.”

“We stand together in sorrow,” the Center expressed in a statement.
