The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) 810th Alpine (Mountain) Brigade announced on Saturday that it had discovered Iranian-made weapons on the slopes of Har Dov, one of two strategic mountains on the border near Israel. .
Breitbart News visited the Alpine Brigade on Thursday and toured the Har Dov area before the discovery of Iranian weapons was announced. The newly formed brigade was deemed necessary due to the possibility of entering Israel through Har Dov and the unfenced flanks of Mount Hermon, the region's highest peak.

Har Dob is located near Shivaa Farm. The farm is claimed by the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah in Lebanon, which Israel captured from Syria during the 1967 Six-Day War. The United Nations, which is normally hostile to Israel, actually agreed to this agreement. Israel argued that Lebanon had no legal claim to the farm or Har Dov.
In recent years, Hezbollah has attempted to infiltrate the region. And rather than admit that the Iranian regime is using the war for its own narrow interests, it is using the Har Dov issue to persuade the Lebanese people of the need for war against Israel.
Rather than dismissing Hezbollah's claims, the Biden-Harris administration took them at face value and withdrew troops from the Khal Dov area as a condition of a ceasefire that Israel tried to impose after Hezbollah fired missiles and rockets. He tried to persuade Israel to do so. The drone will be operated in Israel for nearly a year from October 2023.
However, Israel could not accept such an agreement. The main reason is that Har Dob overlooks almost the entire upper Galilee, making it an important strategic base.
The IDF issued the following statement on Saturday:
For the past two months, elements of the 810th Brigade and Alpinist Forces have conducted targeted intelligence raids in the bushy terrain of Mt. During these operations, soldiers discovered and dismantled numerous Hezbollah weapons and terrorist infrastructure.
Over the past week, soldiers have located Hezbollah firing sites where they have accommodations and hideouts. The military found and confiscated Iranian artillery, rocket launchers, and rockets intended for Israel on the premises.
The Israel Defense Forces released photos of cannons with Iranian markings and rocket-firing batteries aimed at Israel.
Iran, along with Russia, supplies supplies to Hezbollah. Iran is also funding the terrorist group's ongoing operations.
Control of Har Dov is now firmly in Israeli hands. It is no longer on the agenda for ceasefire negotiations with Hezbollah.
