Iran fired a missile at Israel on Tuesday.
The Israel Defense Forces said in a brief statement on Tuesday that Iran had fired a missile at Israel and urged Israeli citizens to enter air raid shelters.
The move is the latest escalation in weeks of skirmishes between Iran-backed Hezbollah and Israel, and comes just days before the one-year anniversary of Hamas's attack on southern Israel on October 7. It also coincides with the Jewish holiday Rosh Hashana, which begins at sunset on Wednesday.
